Back up your hard drives!

Hi all, this is late Sunday post instead of my usual newsletters to let you know that I finally got access to my videos again! I tried many times to upload classes and it always failed. First I thought the issue was my laptop but about a week later it looked like it's my hard drive. Which was strange because it was fairly new, never tossed about or anything and it always worked perfectly fine until one day it just stopped. Of course I googled what can be done and after trying all kinds of methods, things only got worse and in the end my laptop didn't recognise the hard drive anymore. This was worrying!! In the end, I had to send it to the pro's who deal with data recovery and a few days and 825 pounds later, I got all my data back. Yay! Guess I will spend another 100 quid to get another hard drive to back up EVERYTHING! So many people store their whole life onto their hard drives and I suppose a lot would pay a whole lot more to get their work/photos/passwords back. There are many places that offer data recovery, all of which are very expensive but some of them have very mixed reviews. Even though some are considered “scammers” the price point is everywhere about the same. Luckily I know some people who know this stuff and there are about three places in London that are the most trusted and even used by companies. One of them is OnTrack, which I ended up using and I'm super relieved and happy they got all of my data back. However, the lesson I learned is to back up everything!!

Sorry about the delay but this was a bit of an odyssey and having a newborn didn't speed it up 🙃 I hope I could give you at least a tip if you’re ever faced with the same problem.
